Aussie Open is history

Halli, hallo

The Australian Open is history. It is now 2 hours into the night and the article on the way to Vienna.

morning, Chris and I set off towards Lakes Entrance. I am delighted that once again a bit Peace comes. We will be staying in a small cottage and make day trips to the nearby environment. The beach, however, are important, because now I have not seen before a half weeks.
Whether I will go directly towards Sydney and east coast or return to Christian to Melbourne next Saturday, I'll decide later in the week. I must now re-orient the places I really will head in the near future. That is to say, Lonely Planet will again serve as a beach read.

The next time I sign up again with charged batteries, not those times.
soon, Martin

Enclosed I send you three photos of the Open:

Hewitt, the rest watching

And for all tennis fans. As promised, another section of the Aussie Open history:

Rocky V Lleyton Hewitt
journey into the heart of the Aussies ended with a goodbye. Rocky Balboa Ivan Drago met. The movie classic was held down under its continuation - but without the happy ending.

Actually, we should love him, yes. At sixteen he won the ATP tournament in front of his house in Adelaide, the U.S. Open with twenty, twenty-one Wimbledon. All this, with flying feet and fists. Masters wins followed, Lleyton Hewitt is the undisputed world number one - 75 weeks. And what do his fellow citizens? They elect him in between the "most unpopular athlete in the world." Bum! That was in 1999 - that year when Mike Tyson chewed an opponent's ear in the boxing ring. Lleyton is innocent then eighteen, in Tennis Australia rules the "holy St. Patrick" - Pat Rafter. Hewitt was "too small, too mama's boy, focused too much on his will" grumble, the Aussies.
That is not much different. As the Open Hewitt topless flutter trained hundreds next day at the office of the Herald Sun harsh letters from concerned mothers who who feel cheated in their educational work of the dangers of the Australian sun. When Pat Rafter just collected these ladies such newspaper cuttings, in order to create an exciting collage for the ironing room. Sunnyboy Rafter sprayed Australian "Hey, mate-take-it-easy atmosphere," Hewitt's game however, thrives on feeling of the rest of the world to fight. Even before the tournament start "Rocky" Hewitt pfauchte first time: "The surface at the Rod Laver Arena is slower than the room-service in a one-star hotel. But if need be, I win this tournament on cow dung. "Hewitt of these inventors to be hot for the great Battle. He was here to live his dream. 29 years had not won here Aussie, he never came out of the fourth round, then he reached for the stars.
"Rocky" fightete from round to round - on the way, Rebound Ace, a recycled product made of old car tires. While others served with more than 200km / h, he roared with nearly 200 decibels - "Come On". In round three so burned by Juan Ignacio Chela in the backups, who spit out his direction. When next he threw adrenaline cronies Rafael Nadal out to 1:2 sets down. It was the moment when Lleyton unmistakable knocked at the heart of the Aussies. On Australia Day David Nalbandian drove the Aussie in the corner, Lleyton was angeknockt. But with their backs to the wall is "Rocky" the most, the minute he jumped the Gaucho of the blade. The fifth set lasted 1:41, then bite Hewitt - 10:8. Twice as many Aussies prefer watching it on his fists as the national cricket team to the throwing hand - in Australia cricket crazy, a love declaration.

is one final Roger Federer played
heaven and gave it the usual earthy. His quarter-final against Agassi Gala was a hero of the game 90 against the champion of the third millennium. Who should defeat this sorcerer? No one! Six months already, since Olympia tried in vain to compete, he was undefeated for 24 games against top 10 players. It came the time when people began to look for virtual opponents for the aliens. Real opponents. "Only God can beat him now," presented Karol Beck. "If you take Roddick's service, Agassi's return, my volley, Hewitt's speed and shape into a player, then perhaps a chance against him," Tim Henman turned British dry one. Others went into the past. The comparison of the old with the new Dominator urged to: - vs. Sampras. Federer. Pete Sampras, this Executor behind an elegant facade, a victory for clinical remembered against executions Roger Federer, who shows his victims rather than that he executes with this striking beauty of his game. Sampras destroyed, created Federer. Pete had his tongue in front of each service will continue to hang from his mouth, while Roger gently sweeps a strand of hair out of sight.

much sense, no quarter
Marat Safin Pete Sampras is not, and certainly not the Almighty. He is no saint, on and off the court not - even if the times when he chopped 70 rackets a year are passé. "I've always said that the time will come when I grow up. I am calmer. "Even little sister Dinara got after their defeat against Mauresmo one serving from reason. "The train will leave without her, if she does not begin to work as serious as all the others." Marat as a moral high ground, we knew not yet: "Just sitting because only three blondes in my box, I shall be liable the image of a Party Boys on. I've never done something crazy. . I always knew when it was time to work hard, "Federer's former coach, Peter Lundgren, has advanced this process:" With him, I jumped. I listen to him because he has experience. He has taught me to believe in me. "
Marat Safin with so much gold around his neck that one might think, there are dangling all prize money earned. In his match he takes the audience on a journey between ecstasy and despair, sometimes drama, sometimes comedy. "It shows what he feels now, he says what he thinks and he does what he wants," his former coach Mats Wilander popularity Safin had once explained to the point. Safin to look is usually more exciting than movies, against Federer, it was an Oscar-worthy thriller. Federer toiled from set two bubbles, and then radiated from a pinched nerve in the playing arm. In the fourth set he had won match point, Safin the parried with a gentle praise. The fifth set was an epic battle. Safin leading 5-2, Federer countered, was held five match balls. In vain. Few minutes, Marat Safin birthday old when Federer nachhechtete the last ball. The magician was crawling on the floor, dock-Safin as the last winner, and was already in the shower, as 15 943 fans sang an impromptu birthday song. The Invincible was defeated, served the final. Lleyton "Rocky" Hewitt vs. Marat "Ivan" Safin - about this later.

Drago Rocky stops
six pounds of muscle he had built up over the last eighteen months. Even on 24 December flowed the sweat. He had covered 70 kilometers on the way to the final. You know the pictures, as has steeled Rocky Balboa for his fight against Ivan Drago - in the snowy mountains, isolated from the environment. Hewitt prepared in a similar - around Adelaide, with his clan.
seagulls circled from the nearby Yarra River on the brightly lit arena. Only they did not notice any. Because inside is avenged Marat Safin for the final two bitter defeats, he had conceded in this ring - 2002 against Thomas Johansson, 2004 against Roger Federer. "I have not lost the match, he won it," Hewitt scattered roses. Marat Safin revised this evening, the Rocky script. With all his personal style in which brute force is combined with much feeling.

How To Play Pokemon Emerald On Mac

Aussie Open

The last days I have given you a little neglected. This has to do with the fact that my days at the Australian Open fairly labor-intensive goods.
Come now by Hewitt-Roddick, Federer-Safin yesterday was impressive, even Sharapova vs. Serena was very amusing.
So that you get an idea of the tournament and what happened in the last two weeks with me, I will put the next three days, a few excerpts of my story online.

your questions I will answer it again if I have a bit more air.
soon, Martin

Today: The mood at the Open

The pleasant breeze wind drives a fragrance blend of homemade burgers and hot chips by Melbourne Park It's rush hour at the craziest Grand Slam of the year. The way the tournament area with People clogged right now they are dead ends. John is now prime time, the passionate Pat Cash Double posing with wooden bats and plaid headband before the Melbourne skyline, the piling up impressive behind his back. Meanwhile, an Elamite Aussie hops in ostrich costume across the Garden Square. A daredevil slalom by thousands of people here, on a grassy area in the middle of the plant - a picnic - are hidden under shady hats. The hand on the plastic cup filled with cold Heineken, one eye on the canvas on which Roddick shoots straight, the ears of "Jimbo" Courier, which has an impact away about his "bomb" in the Yarra River muses after his triumph 1992nd
sunburn, tennis crazy, 1.4 per thousand
The white sport is indeed like rumored that he was gathering dust - not here. Melbourne is a multicultural melting pot begins to bubble at the Aussie Open. Only occasionally you can find here the typical guest Wimbledon - something more mature ladies and gentlemen who are celebrating their fortieth anniversary tournament, still drink tea with milk, wear straw hats and including the draw from the year 1979, on call. If one were to do to work to make a cross-section of the 580,000 fans who flock through the gates for a fortnight in Melbourne Park, probably would come out the following average guest: lighter Sunburn, 0.6 per thousand issued and damn good (in Sweden: 1.5 per thousand), tennis crazy hotter voice, dressed in at least fifty percent in national colors (90 to 100 percent in Sweden). Down under is a country match any match. The tournament is a reflection of its visitors - colorful and cheerful. Break periods are not here to be quiet about it or watching players in peeling bananas. There are those seconds in which the spotlight moves from the Court on the stands - where young people staged sketches, fans fervently sing national anthems, spilling a wave of excitement through the boiling arena.

Cruising Areas In Toronto

Live from the Melbourne Park

Today here at the Australian Open Austrians tag. And so for me even a hint of stress in the air. But all bad half-Sun
The tournament here is huge. You have to imagine this:
live in Melbourne and 200 nations, this cultural melting pot begins at the primal Grand Slam of the year to cook properly. Here, every match is a match countries. The people are covered, there are concerts, will picnic on a huge square in the center of the plant. Outstanding Swedes - 200-300 people transform (boys in the summer or Pijama Sundin-Leiberl / girl mostly as cheerleaders), fresh from the Heineken bar, every seat on which a Swede playing in a madhouse.

now but one time a feedback to your comments:

@ Seitzi: Have Schettle
be cut because of the number. She said she played her last tournament here, was romantically involved happy and wanted to just enjoy here.

@ Julia: The number of Federer
I've got - but that is not all: He lives in the Grand Hyatt (door number 724), the number is 03/980 760 - 724th Off is probably a slight Mirka, that is its media representative, and so besides beige says his girlfriend. Is therefore not easy.

@ Arno:
never forget. After valleys, it goes uphill again. Have to feel change in the way, Lance still get first-hand. The last day at the office, he received me with the words: "I want to play against you. Immediately. Down in the Naumgasse, where the Russians train on hard court. I play every day 4 hours of tennis. You should see my body, "the he told me then shown before - the upper body at least

@ Hubert: get
Here you really feel like.. Collect Elferln and balls

@ Lydia:
them, feeding them leaves.. The kids will soon realize that they need to husband their forces immediately. Felix will not make it more to the push, Moritz and Yannis it is as if he were not even on the world.

PS The next day I will you send back photos. After all, I'm the next 3 weeks a professional photographer on the road - it is exploiting.

I'm looking forward to your entries.

Kimono Repair New York

Philipp Iceland and Great Ocean Road

Here I am again.
one up front I am doing fine and I really had a great last week.
My first trip was to Iceland Philipp. On the drive there we stopped at a wildlife park. There I first saw wombats, kangaroos (which eat one there, the manual) and koala (yes, they really sleep 20 hours daily. Why, because a piece of eucalyptus has as much energy as a sheet of paper and they must therefore economize her strength understandably )

Housed I was on Phil Iceland in a backpacker who was integrated into a camping park. Very quiet, insanely comfortable, with swimming pool - just wonderful to relax. I've noticed in these days already that my time in Australia, mostly at sea, will spend in nature and in Grosstaedten.
Phillipp Iceland is much less touristy than I imagined - there holiday mostly people from Melbourne and one can of Surfing (South Coast) Radtoren to do anything. I spent my 3 days there with a postman from Italy. We got along splendidly. He lives between Milan and Lugano in an Italian village on Swiss soil, earned 2,500 euros! now a year and took unpaid leave. Together we explored the beaches, a bike made at 33 degrees (including the notorious northerly winds from the desert). The roads are pretty much the mentally toughest thing I've ever experienced on the bike. Straight ahead, always long drawn uphill and downhill - nURL it down much quicker and it is believed, therefore constantly uphill ride. We drove to include Seal Rock, where we saw during the day and many penguins (green), the beautiful contrast between nature and enjoyed the sea (blue). In the evening we cooked together always, I pasta, salad it. He
- Luca - was really wonderful. Learned surfing on the east coast in the egg Reisser (you surely know all the usual here surfer pants that would be above the knee), met with a road trip to the beach in New Zealand to a stranded giant whale sank then there could be a Maori dig, etc. He was therefore in no way deny that he was Italian
;-) It did both of us are sorry that our paths separated after 3 days. But now it is time.
went on last night there then the Penguin Parade. They waddled awkwardly out of the sea, clear anyway - pumped full of fish for young, always in small groups and looked for her quarters. Penguins are fucking human. Life to 75 percent monogamous (higher than in humans), one gets the father of food, even the mother - emancipated, you might say.

Wednesday we went to the Great Ocean Road. Supposedly the world's coastal road Macallister. Early morning I went ice cold in the wrong bus, but also drove there, but not as planned for 2 days, but only for one. I noticed, however, until much later.
I was eiem trip, where you could constantly get to jump up again at some point and then make the trip to end.
I did then in Lorne. This should be the most beautiful town on the road. It was incredible. There, take the Pacific and a lake district, my hostel was located in the forest (Kakaduus free-flying and in the morning I met a wild kangaroo). The little village led by a pier on the other, connected by the beach and Esplanade. I would be happy to remain longer than one night. but my nights had been booked in Melbourne. In the morning I went with an English girl jogging on the beach - she wants in Sydney Hockey . Play
at 11, I jumped back on the train. After that we crossed on foot including a Regenwaldstueck and then met on the infamous 12 apostles. Imposing or massive as the Aussies say.

photos of all this I would like to send you tomorrow. Do camera and laptop for the first charge. Hope it all goes.

Finally a small Wordrap:

Australians:
actually correspond to their stereotype. 3 Victoria Bitter in 90 minutes, after 1 minute you say mate (friend), after 10 min every third sentence (take it easy). Really scary casual and friendly.

Australians: A set
is enough! Can their largely British origin not deny!

sun
Most people have very light skin, are not exactly praedetiniert for these conditions. Sonnenbraende seen a lot. I did the super thing under control. At the beginning I quickly learned that I am not some cream (foot top, Trizepsgegend - oh dear).

Nations:
Americans and Canadians in particular, are incredibly nice, on the Great Ocean Road, I met a very funny Dutch girl, now I'm living together with 2 French.
unbeatable once again the terrible friends from Germany. overturned a German word for it Kakaduu every time the voice. Then she told me straight that they would be gone only two months in Australia, because with the problems Trips would have had. Once across the outback. Allice Springs before she held a Aboriginal and said that it is very dangerous here. Therefore, he also gave her his spear. She went to her friend and then to Alice Springs. Imagine that! Figuratively!
Then they wanted the spear - as agreed - to send back. In the post office they could make his address, but not identified.

Build Mini Gardens With Natural Rocks

horse racing, St. Kilda Melbourne etc.

from the abandoned 9-bed store has now become a full house. From Graz to Brisbane via Singapore, everything is possible.
The Graz is working for the Styrian state government in the environmental department and was involved in the causa Spielberg. The youth of Singapore is actually from Beijing, and lived for 15 Years in the U.S., today he works in Singapore for Credit Suisse. The Australians I've told my projects that I want to eat a lot of exotic animals. He was impressed, but said before kangaroo care. The meat has only 1 percent fat, flatulence and diarrhea are normal, if you eat too much. That's really awesome, is always in a suit on the way because he is professional here (Marketing: When he tells it, he moves to a deadly serious poker face). Even yesterday evening, he seems to have eaten kangaroos - which has gepfurzt that night ... And in that chamber.
Even more so when I so out there, not to throw the air conditioning. Yes you know my experience with it. When eating

am I go purely Asian. This is super cheap. Huge portions (damn good) to 70 shillings. Yes, I am still in this currency (not destroyed by mental arithmetic is).
fruit you can do almost not even all that is made of chocolate is terribly expensive. A Bounty for example, costs about one euro. There are supermarkets in the inner city barely - because Austria is really a paradise.

increase the moment here in the Melbourne Deaflympics. This is the second oldest games after the Olympic Games - are eligible persons whose hearing ability, at least 55 percent is limited (100m world record is 10.20 sec). Therefore ruled here in the city right now, the sign language. Where I thought that the Italians are safe but the best orator. Yesterday I saw a huge Italian clique at lunch. Simply wonderful. Gesturing to perfection.

The last days I've scoured museums, was the absolutely remarkable Queens Victoriua Market (where absolutely everything is sold and the product of original Australians is touted loudly), I'm on Melboune Observation Deck overview over gives the city, yesterday I was at a cricket match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Fader will never do, but the Australians are crazy about it.
is just as for horse racing and dog racing, on every corner gambled correctly.
Today I was in St. Kilda, which is the beach of Melbourne. At Baden is at these temperatures (ZAVISH 18 and 21 degrees) of the question.
There is also a Luna Park and the Aucland Street, their windows are piled sweets. Unfortunately, most of chocolate and why - you know so-sauteuer.

Then I searched today for a hotel yet, when I go to my trips back to Melbourne zurueckkome. And have a deep breath. Highly affordable, in 4 rooms, furnished the Gemeinschaftsraueme super (Flachbilschirmfernseher, billiards, etc.), huge communal kitchen can live, etc. Since it is genuine. No comparison to my current property that I am leaving tomorrow.
Because I leave for Iceland Philipp, by Tuesday evening. On the program stand - clear anyway - penguins, so the first contact with animals. It's about time. Even koalas and kangaroos-feeding is included for one day you get a bike with which I will explore the island - is not that big.

Aneurysm Palpitations

two days I am now in Melbourne. And I like it here really well.
Except for the accommodation. Doich actually make it to accommodate mattresses on 10m2. As the gene is. One nested 3 bunk beds sent into each other. Even though I was alone last night (no wonder, the way, were everywhere in the room housing addresses, etc.) it is close to the limit. No window, praised the Fitness Center is only a step machine, which currently must be repaired and a basin that is about as big as our mini pond at home on the terrace.

Melbourne itself is beautiful. 200 nations live here and this Multikulti_Flair spraying the city also. In the tram really any language gesprochen.Die people accept each other.
is Great, how many parks the city owns in downtown. And then these are not just parks but natural oasis with BBQ squares, streams, etc.
The most beautiful running course of my life I have already met him. The Yarra River, a dream. Will you send a photo of it soon. In the river, the Aussies have to row at 8 o'clock in the morning. I run it directly at Melbourne Park over, where already the last preparations for the Australian Open run.
Austrian standards anyway it is unimaginable (not to mention which one) at what point are integrated in this city Sportstaetten. After six Viennese situation Happel stadium would be within the belt and the Formula 1 Grand Prix to be run in Tuerkenschanzpark.
So Dear Frankie. Who needs Rothneusiedl, I urge the otion Votivpark

:-) The weather has not said how about ragens. Therefore I will settle on it weahrscheinlich on Sat for 3 days at Phillip Iceland. The Great Ocean_Road tour will extend I hoechstwahrscheauch to 2 days.
fix is that I will move back in Melbourne somewhere else.

Kind regards to you all

PS At Lehi: Leg you the zip trousers. It has paid off for me right now.

Different Types Of Vagaina

Bin arrived safely

After a long tour, I am well received.

is half-5h, unfortunately it has not, but whatever.
jettzt seats in the deserted arrivals hall at Melbourne Airport on a bar stool, I've set myself to the Internet account. Here, no one really does. Unimaginable.
When changing planes in Dubai were still thousands slept on the road and everywhere you can imagine. Here is yawning teaching. Get me here now hit on the ear. Although I'm not really tired and go tomorrow morning to the hotel.

to flight:
It was long, long, every few hours to say it set the time forward - until it knows no more. My neighbor has me but the shortened Zeuit well. His name was Paul, fruit carts professionally with a truck through Victoria and was very entertaining. As a heavy smoker, he had prior to the Non smoking flight slight problems, but he ruined his nervousness in the screen (touch screen) on television to him. To which he threatened the crew, he hew out the window and then draw on that occasion quite pleasurable by a cigarette.

Lustig is also the dog that scans the luggage for fruits and foods. A 14-year-old Hush Puppie with ears to the ground, his owner with the "good boy" pushes, so that it manages no one inside.

Ciao Martin
